Marshfield Plaza

As of May 1, 2007, CAPs is recruiting applicants for the Marshfield Plaza project located in the 34th Ward, Alderman Carrie Austin, between 119th and 115th Streets off Marshfield Avenue. Marshfield Plaza will be a premier outdoor shopping center featuring national and local retailers of  items in houseware, apparel, electronics, office supplies, banking, dining and automotive. In the 1st phase of the project, construction and general laborer jobs are available. CAPs is accepting qualified applicants and providing no cost training to applicants interested in the construction trades. Applicants that need training will be referred to the apprenticeship preparation programs offered at Dawson Technical Institute, a City College of Chicago . All interested applicants must attend one of CAPs Orientations listed on our "Job Seekers" tab.

DCFS Youth Reaching Emancipation

As of May 1, 2007, CAPs is accepting eligible youth reaching emancipation into it's Employment and Training Program. All youth must be approved by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) Cook South Education & Transition Coordinator, John Kasper. All interested youth must attend one of CAPs Orientations listed on our "Job Seekers" tab. Please bring a CBO referral form from your caseworker.

CAPs Annual "Moment With Santa", Another Success!!

Every Holiday Season Community Assistance Programs Celebrates by giving the community "Moment With Santa"! The Youth along side professional CAPs Staff provide memorable picture with Santa, Cookies, Juice, and Toys to clients, and families of the community. The Holiday music, and cheer of CAPs Staff proved to be another memorable experience for Everybody.
