CAPs provides training that will qualify you for the job.  We can help you enroll in other training opportunities that are offered by the demand of the Employer.  We do not train without a commitment from the Employer to hire! The tools to identify the skills and education you do have and the skills you may need.

Put Illinois to Work (PIW) is a paid work experience where worker-trainees receive subsidized wages and work experience.

Who is Eligible?

Individuals interested in participating in Put Illinois to Work must fit into the following criteria:

  • Worker-trainees must be legally present in the United States and authorized to work.
  • Worker-trainees must be a parent (custodial or non-custodial) of a minor child, and under 200% of the federal poverty level.
  • Worker-trainees 18-21 are not required to have a minor child, but must be part of a household with income under 200% of the federal poverty level.

All clients must attend orientation to enroll in CAPs programs
Bring picture identification, social security card, and proof of income & residency
